A friend on Facebook had posted this quote:

I loved it so I Googled it and found this one:

 That last one pretty much sums up my view on life.

Today would have been Grandma's 92nd birthday. Lesley-Anne, Wendy and myself got matching tattoos in remembrance of her and what a beautiful, strong, amazing person she was. It's "Love" in her handwriting. I went to Mum's job shortly after to show her and she loved it. She said "Aw, that's really nice." (Ironically, Grandma would have killed us for getting it.) I was driving home from seeing Mummy and I just started tearing up. I was thinking about how grateful I am to belong to this family; how amazing Grandma was and how she raised Mum to be just as amazing, and I think Mum has done a pretty good job on me too. I was thinking about Les and Wendy and all of our other cousins and how close we are, etc. You know when you're just head over heels in love and giddy and you just want to scream it to the world? That's how I feel about my family and my life. Thanks, Grandma! I miss you and ...

Karina fills me in on what I did on my birthday...

I love my friends and family! I had such a blast and my birthday made me appreciate them so much more! Life is wonderful.

Today is my last day being 20
I'm getting spoiled with really good Jamaican food! Less than 10 hours!

So many wonderful things to remember!

• teaching Mum how to cook a dish that I came up with in college.
• Harry Potter marathon with the girls: gluten free cookies; Nutella cupcakes; mango daiquiris; HP 5, 6, and some of 7, a sort-of-sleep over.
• Every day that we get together for Insanity.
• Working out, sitting through a thunderstorm, eating sushi and cotton candy, watching Harry Potter 7: Part 2.. with the girls.
• Conversations with Andrea.
• Going to a Goth Club Event complete with altars and black candles with Dani and Ash..

Life is wonderful. Less than 2 weeks 'til 21!

Me: Mum, look what I did yesterday. (shows her burn on hip)
Mum: How did you manage that?
Me: Well, I took a shower and then I was ironing my shirt and I ironed off the board and straight into my hip .
Mum: That's what you get for never wearing clothes.

Me: As long as I make it home before the sun comes up, I'm fine!
Dani: You're not beating the sun.
Me: Yeah huh! I'm almost there!

but really, I created this today and I can't express how many times I've wanted to come and just write about so many different, amazing things.
Man! I love my life. Now, THAT, is awesome. (Life, that is)

You know what's awesome? Technology. Specifically, WhatsApp. I've had a group conversation going for almost a month now with my cousins, spanning three countries, three time zones, and for the not-so-smart: three continents. It doesn't matter what we're talking about, our conversations always bring a smile to my face for the simple fact that we're talking - almost everyday. The miles and hours are nothing more than physical barriers.  We are closer than some family members and friends that see each other on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. For that, I am grateful and appreciative. I think it's pretty awesome.
